Court Bookings:
Peak Hours Policy:
To ensure fair access and an enjoyable experience for all Members, we kindly ask that court bookings during peak hours (5:30pm – 8:30pm, year-round) are made for play involving two or more players. Solo practice isn’t available for booking in these times. However, if a court is free, you’re welcome to use it without a booking.
Member and Guests Names: When making a court booking, please include the names of everyone playing and note whether they are a Member or Guest.
This not only helps us see who is using the courts but also supports fair court allocation and provides useful information for things like grant applications.
Thank you for your support as we continue to improve court access and Member experience.

Court Usage: We encourage you to always please Book the Courts, Register and Collect Guests Fees, and Close the Gates after playing. Please also Cancel the Courts if you cannot make your Booking or Cancel the time if you are running late.

Super Soaker and Sand Drag Mat: Please use the Super Soaker and Sand Drag mat in the case of rain and sand build up. Please also drain the water before returning inside via the black rubber plug on the side as per the instructions attached to the machine and pasted top the wall where its kept.

Interclub Player and Host Responsibilities:

Player Responsibilities:
Players must accept the Team Captain is responsible for the organisation and management of the Interclub Team and you will abide by decisions made by the Team Captain in respect of the Team.
Players will turn up to the scheduled venue on time and be ready to play as determined by your Team Captain or that of the opposition Team. As an Interclub player, yourself, the Team, the Club and indeed the opposition Team expect you to try your best.
Players are expected to adhere to the Tennis NZ Code of Behaviour on and off the court, namely being respectful, fair and honest in all dealings with players. You represent Mission Bay and we zealously protect our image and reputation. Any behaviour which brings Mission Bay Tennis Club, the game of tennis, or the Team into disrepute will not be tolerated. This includes unsportsmanlike behaviour, foul language, equipment abuse and physical altercations.
Should you encounter any issues between you or any other member of your team with either your opponent or other team members please remove yourself from the situation and seek assistance from your Team Captain or Club Interclub Captain.
Players will advise the Team Captain at the earliest opportunity of any scheduled days where you are unavailable, or if there is an instance where you are unavailable at short notice.

Host Days:
We expect all of our Teams to be good hosts. Please remember that when hosting Interclub you are expected to: Arrive early ahead of the start time to ensure the Club house is open and suitable for guests, welcome the opposing Team and ensure they can access the courts for warm up.
Provide after-match food for the opposing Team, appropriate for having played several hours of tennis.
All home Teams are responsible for Tidying the Club house and Courts This includes ensuring the following is completed before leaving:
Courts are clean and tidy, which includes, bringing in chairs and rubbish from the courts
Court gates are locked
Club House is clean, dishes are washed and away, tables wiped, floors vacuumed, chairs tidied (and inside), rubbish removed, dishwasher emptied, drained and turned off .
Club House bar, windows and doors are all locked, and alarm system activated. If you do not have a code for the alarm system inform the Club President or Club Managers to activate the alarm for you.
If you are the last to leave it is your responsibility to ensure all of the above has been completed, and ultimately the Captain’s responsibility to ensure Team compliance.
If we do not do this, we will need to pay a cleaner to do it, which will increase subs for everybody.

Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy your Tennis, though please also remember Tennis is Optional at Mission Bay Tennis Club!
