We have a number of exciting events happening over the next few weeks to bring to your attention!

It is that time of year when your favourite Tennis Club needs YOU!
|
Members are invited to attend and volunteer to support your Club at each of these Events!
|
Please take a peek at the posters and the brief for each below.

We will also be setting up an All Member WhatsApp Group (Administrator messaging rights only) to facilitate a Poll for each Event for our Members to confirm their availability to attend and support the Club.

1. Wednesday 20th August 9.30am - Love Tennis Promotion with Tennis Auckland at MBTC!
We are delighted to be welcoming Tennis Auckland to Mission Bay to participate in a quick hit and interview reel to promote Love Tennis THIS WEDNESDAY at 9.30am (arrive by 9.15am for 9.30am start)

Rohan West (CEO of Tennis Auckland), David Frank (General Manager Tennis & Facilities Tennis Auckland) and also Charlie Alexander (Tennis Auckland Love Tennis Coordinator) will be joining us on the Courts and inside the Club House!
|
We will be hosting a light hit of Tennis and morning tea. All Members are invited to join us if you're available!
|
|

2. Sunday 24th August 8.00am - Working Bee
Our annual Working Bee to spruce up the Club is coming up THIS SUNDAY! Please arrive 7:45am for an 8:00am start, finishing around midday.
|
This is an opportunity for members to get together, have a chat, and give the club a proper spring spruce so its looking best it can for the summer interclub season and Love Tennis.
|
Even if you can only spare an hour it will make a real difference! If you’re booked on the day but still want to help, get in touch and we’ll arrange something you can do beforehand or at another time (some choose to put in some mahi beforehand after work or an alternate day as their way of giving back).
|
|
Please let us know if you will be coming to help. A poll has already been issued via some WhatsApp groups. If you receive a request from more than one group, please just vote once! Thank you!

3. Thursday 28th August 7.30pm - Tennis Auckland Awards
Delegates Forum Glendowie Tennis Club Padel 6pm 2025 Awards 7.30pm
|
We submitted some great entries into the Tennis Auckland Awards for 2025 and we have our fingers crossed to take home another Award this year!
|
We would love to have a crowd to help with any celebrations or commiserations!
|
|
If you would like to join us, please let us know ASAP. The RSVP for Padel and catering purposes is due by Friday 22nd August.

4. Friday 29th August 6.00pm - Annual Prize Giving and AGM
All Members and Prize Winners should have received an invite to our Annual Prize Giving and AGM on Friday 29th August.
|
Your attendance matters. We need at least 20 voting members present for the AGM to go ahead and for important decisions to be approved. The meeting is short, and your vote makes a difference.
|
|
Please let us know if you will be in attendance so that we can plan and cater accordingly.
|

5. Sunday 7th September 10am - 2pm - Love Tennis Day
Love Tennis and Father's Day is on Sunday 7th September from 10am - 2pm. It's also the 10th anniversary of Love Tennis.
|
So, we're bringing it back, better and bigger than ever at Mission Bay Tennis Club.
|
We need as many Members to support us on the day. Please help us make this another successful event!
|

6. Interclub - Registrations for Juniors, Midweek Ladies and Twilight now Open
Junior, Midweek Ladies Lead-In and Twilight Interclub Registrations are now Open!
