Annual General Meeting
Please SAVE THE DATE for our Annual Prize Giving and Annual General Meeting.
|
All Members are encouraged to attend to support your peers at Prize-Giving and to pass our new Constitution.
|
The Constitution has now been circulated to all members, with feedback and questions welcome. A reminder that comments on the proposed constitution are requested in writing to president@missionbaytennis.co.nz by today, Tuesday 6th August. Thank you for being part of this important step in our club's future.

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Quiz Night was held on Saturday 26th July, and we are happy notify that the Event raised ~$9,000. These funds will go directly to resurfacing Courts 1-3.

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are integral to keeping Mission Bay Tennis Club Events going.
|
|
We're calling for volunteers from the Club and Community to help out.
|
Are you, or do you know someone .working towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award, school service hours, or a volunteering certificate? We’d love your help - and we can certify your contribution.
|
|
We’re flexible and happy to support your schedule. Volunteer when it suits you - weekly, monthly, or just once. If you're interested? Contact info@missionbaytennis.co.nz.

We’re looking for volunteers to support the club in the following ways:

Regular Maintenance
Weeding, window cleaning, and general upkeep.
|
Working Bee
Our annual Working Bee is on Sunday 24th August. - Join our once-a-year club cleanup.
|
Love Tennis
This year, Love Tennis is on Sunday 7th September from 10am - 2pm and we want to see it at Mission Bay BACK, BIGGER and BETTER than ever! We need as many Member volunteers as possible to help on the day to achieve this! So please help in any way you can.
|

Members are invited to Volunteer to help on the day, (it's just 4 hours!). If you are willing to do anything at all to help, please register via the following form: Love Tennis Volunteer Registration

Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found Box is located in the downstairs part of the Club House. There are many drink bottles and attire that has been left over the season.
|
|
If you have lost anything over the past year, we ask if you can please take a look and reclaim your lost property.
|
|
We will be donating any lost property not claimed by the end of August.
|
|
|

Wednesday Club Social Nights
Our Senior Club Social Night is every Wednesday from 7pm and is running throughout Winter. Free for Members and $15 for Guests. Regular Doubles Match play with the occasional themed night for some extra fun.

The Singles Sessions are being held on Sundays again now that Winter Interclub has finished.

Wimbledon Whites Club Social Night
On Wednesday 16th July we hosted our annual Wimbledon Whites. Thank you to all of our Members and Guests that participated. The Courts and Club House were frosted in White for one our favourite opportunities to celebrate Tennis tradition.

4. Interclub
Winter Interclub
Congratulations to our 4 Teams that fought it out during Winter Interclub! It was nearly a perfect season of Blue Skies and Sunshine, and great Tennis! Thank you to the 4 Teams and Captains:

These Teams were also the pilot users of the new MATCHPOINT system that will also be used for the first time for Summer Interclub. We're still struggling to work out how to use MATCHPOINT and work out the Results but will hopefully report that in the next Newsletter!

Summer Interclub
Thank you to everyone that attended our Summer Senior Interclub Match Up Day on Saturday 12th September and also our existing and new Members that have have registered for Summer Senior Interclub with Mission Bay Tennis Club for 2025-26.
|
We're excited to announce that we have submitted 14 Teams for the Summer Senior Interclub Season.
|
|
Draws will be released during late August for Competitions to commence on Saturday 6th September
|
|

5. Coaching
The Tennis One Fiji Camp is on from August 9–14, 2025. We can hardly wait to hear about all of the fun everyone is going to have and the sun they're going to experience over winter!
|

6. Reminders
Social Media Engagement and Reviews: Social Media and Reviews plays a significant part in the success of the Club so we encourage you to please help by adding a Google Review or Facebook Review and Reactions to our Socials Media posts please!
|
Court Usage: We encourage you to always please Book the Courts, Register and Collect Guests Fees, and Close the Gates after playing. Please also Cancel the Courts if you cannot make your Booking or Cancel the time if you are running late.
|
Super Soaker and Sand Drag Mat: Please use the Super Soaker and Sand Drag mat in the case of rain and sand build up. Please also drain the water before returning inside via the black rubber plug on the side as per the instructions attached to the machine and pasted top the wall where its kept.
|
Electrical Vehicle Charging: Chargers are for short “top-ups” only, not a replacement for primary home or work charging, with a time limit of 3 hours per week. Please be mindful that the Club covers all electricity costs, and power prices have risen significantly in recent months. Excessive use places a strain on Club resources. We ask all members to use this facility responsibly
|
Dogs: We are a dog-friendly Club and we have dedicated water bowls for them, however, please ensure dogs are kept on a leash and remain outdoors at all times.
|
|
