CLUB OF THE YEAR!
We are pleased to announce that at the Tennis Auckland 2025 Annual Club Awards night on Thursday 28th August, Mission Bay Tennis Club won 3 Awards:
1. Club Spirit
2. Club Marketing, Promotion and Membership AND
3. Club of the Year
Thank you to everyone that makes this the best Club in Auckland! Special thanks to our Committee and all of our Volunteers!
Join us at the Club to celebrate on Friday 19th September from 6pm, brief speeches at 6:30pm and happy hour at the bar from 6.00-7.00pm.

PRIZE-GIVING & AGM!
Congratulations to all of our Champions and Prize Winners recognised at our Prize-Giving on Friday 29th August.
We are also pleased to announce that all Resolutions presented were approved! We now have a new Constitution and a new Life Member.
Congratulations to John Tonkin who has been a dedicated member, sponsor and volunteer at the Club for many years and was unanimously approved as a Life Member.
Special thank you to Scott Milne, Margaret Voyce, Angus McPhee and Troy Churton from the Orakei Local Board for attending, opening the night for us and supporting the Club.

MEMBERSHIP
Memberships for the 2025-26 season are now open for renewal.
Following the approval of Membership descriptions and subscriptions at the AGM all Members were sent an invitation to renew their Memberships accordingly. This applies to all Members including those that have recently joined on a Monthly subscription with the option to select the first payment date.
Fresh off being named 🏆 Auckland Tennis Club of the Year 🏆, there's never been a better time to be part of the club. We're looking forward to another fantastic season ahead!

LOVE TENNIS - Sunday 7th September 10am - 2pm
Love Tennis and Father's Day is on Sunday 7th September from 10am - 2pm. It's also the 10th anniversary of Love Tennis.
So, we're bringing it back, better and bigger than ever at Mission Bay Tennis Club.
We need as many Members to support us on the day. Please help us make this another successful event!

2. Upcoming Events

Note: Sunday's Social Singles is now titled "The Amigos Cup" and will be held from 2pm - 5pm on Love Tennis Day. More details of the format can be shared if interested.

3. Interclub
The Summer Senior Interclub competition is due to commence from this Saturday 6th September.
This start date is likely for around half of our Teams, and the next Saturday 13th September the remaining Teams competitions will start. The Teams and start date will be confirmed once the Draws are released.
The release of Summer Senior Interclub Draws has been delayed.
Tennis Auckland have been working frantically on the Draws however are still sourcing additional courts to accommodate all scheduled contests and are doing everything they can to complete them as quickly as possible. We anticipate they will release the draws ASAP or otherwise at least the Round 1 schedules to enable play to commence from this Saturday 6th September.
In the meantime, please be aware of the delay and please be on your toes ready to play on opening weekend Saturday, 6th September. Sincere apologies from Tennis Auckland for the delay.
Tennis Auckland, Mission Bay Tennis Club and Captains appreciate your patience. Captains will contact team members with details as soon as they have any.
We are also hosting our own MBTC Interclub DEBRIEF session including an overview of the new Matchpoint system on Wednesday 3rd September from 6pm.
This is for ALL Team Captains, New Players and ANY Players that need it. If that is you, please join us on Wednesday.
