Thank you to all of our Members that have renewed their Membership for the 2025-26 season.
We have been following up with all Members that have not yet renewed their Membership over the past 2 months, and will now be cancelling all renewal reminders for any Members that have not responded.

COURT ACCESS CODES
Please note that to better manage Court Usage, and to help ensure that Court Bookings are made including details of Members and Guests, a Generic Access Code is no longer being shared with all full-paying Members.
When you Book a Court, the PIN for your Booking enables you to access downstairs of the Club House should you require the facilities. Interclub Team Captains and Managers have also been provided with instructions to access the Courts and Club House accordingly so that you should still be able to access facilities when you need.
There have been a few issues recently where Members have not been able to access the Courts or downstairs due to their PIN not working. Please note in these circumstances the Fobs usually work, if you have one. If you do experience any issues however, please let us know so that we can escalate and investigate accordingly.

WEDNESDAY CLUB SOCIAL NIGHTS - Members Only
As our Wednesday Club Social Nights have grown in popularity, they are now open to Members only.
Guests are welcome to come and try it out once for $15, however if they would like to keep coming along, they will need to become a Member. Memberships start from $25 per month and you can sign up here for Membership.

THURSDAY MIDWEEK LADIES - All Ladies Welcome
Our Midweek Ladies meet up every Thursday morning.
All Lady Members of all ages and playing abilities are welcome to join. Tennis is social and varied.
Depending on the season the start is 9.00am or 9.30am and finish for coffee at 10.30am or 11.00am.

ASB CLASSIC 1956 CLUB MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
As many of you know, Tennis Auckland has placed significant focus this year on finally Raising the Roof at the Manuka Doctor Arena and securing the future of ASB Classic and transforming the Arena into a multi-purpose venue for the wider Auckland community.
Tennis Auckland has made strong progress with fundraising, including the recent commitment of $5M from the New Zealand Government as part of a $15m partnership between the Government, Auckland Council and Tennis Auckland.
Tennis Auckland is also offering a unique ASB Classic 1956 Club Membership opportunity, named in honour of the inaugural year of international tournaments at Stanley Street and a key part of the fundraising efforts.
The 1956 Club is a five-year seat debenture programme, focused on 52 prime seats in the iconic Redwood Stand. It offers a mix of value - including five years of ASB Classic seating and Member benefits, along with a philanthropic component. So far, Members have tended to be families who love Tennis and Sport and who want to play a meaningful role in helping to realise the Arena Roof Project.

Mission Bay Tennis Club were the lucky winners of an Adult Love Tennis Hoodie from Tennis New Zealand that we are Raffling off to all Members.
Raffle tickets are available to purchase for $5 for 1 ticket or $10 for 3 tickets.
Please purchase at any of our Club Social Nights, Junior Club Night or at one of our Doubles Club Championships days on Sunday 23rd November or Sunday 30th November.
The lucky Winner will be announced at the end of the day on Sunday 30th November.

MEMBER UPDATES:
Jacob Crichton - 2025 Taekwon-do World Champs
During October, Jacob Crichton represented New Zealand in the “Pre Junior (14U) Male 1st Dan Black Belt, Individual Patterns” at the 2025 Taekwon-do World Champs in Croatia.
He won his 1st Round match but lost his 2nd Round and is happy that he did his best on the day.
Jacob will be continuing his Taekwon-do and plans to trial for the 2027 team also! Good luck Jacob.

3. Recent Events
HALLOWEEN CLUB SOCIAL NIGHT - Wednesday 28th October
On Wednesday 28th October we hosted our annual Halloween Club Social Night where Members drew blood on the Courts during Doubles matchplay.
It was a spooktacular night!
Special thanks to Gene Armstrong and helpers for decorating the Club and Congratulations to our Best Dressed on the night, Irina Gorbatova and Nick Campbell.

ROSE BOWL TOURNAMENT - Sunday 2nd November
On Sunday 2nd November we hosted our annual Rose Bowl Tournament, our longest running Tournament, hosted since 1951 with Doubles partners drawn from the Rose Bowl itself.
Thank you to everyone that participated and Congratulations to Alice Skidmore and Oliver Headlam-Morley who won 6 Rounds to take out the Rose Bowl title for 2025!

4. Interclub
SENIOR INTERCLUB (Saturday, Midweek and Twilight)
The Summer Saturday Senior Interclub competition has now entered Round 5 and all of our 14 Teams are enjoying some great Tennis with close competitions in all grades.
Midweek Ladies Interclub has also now commenced with Round 2 completed whilst the Twilight Interclub Draws and Competition has been delayed by a week due to Tennis Auckland experiencing challenges scheduling Courts for all Competitions.
We look forward to Twilight commencing from Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th November for our 4 Teams including 3 Men's and 1 Women's Team.

JUNIOR PRE-XMAS INTERCLUB
Our 8 Junior Interclub Teams played their 1st Round over the weekend on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November.
Our Teams had some great match ups and success over the weekend and we're looking forward to hearing about more of their successes over the next 6 Rounds until X'Mas.
We invite all Interclub Team Captains and Team Members to share photos from their competitions to share in upcoming Newsletters and on Socials.

This is best viewed on your Desktop Browser where you can filter by Team, Round or Date and also see the Court allocations for every Competition.
Please also follow us on Socials where we share the Teams that are playing at Home and Away each week. We will also share the Court usage each week in the Team Captains WhatsApp groups so that you know who is playing at MBTC.
