Calimero Challenge: Tuesdays in May Back by popular demand! This is a fun event to kick off the Winter Season. This is one of our most fun tournaments each year!. The format is Teams of 4 players assigned with a mix of all levels playing Doubles each week for 4 weeks with special Challenge rules to make it fun for all. More information to come soon!

Thank you to TAB NZ and the Bobby Foundation Fundraising Division for recently awarding and issuing Mission Bay Tennis Club with a Grant of $4,100 for Tennis Balls!
|
The Bobby Foundation supports the New Zealand racing industry and encourages participation in amateur sport across New Zealand through sporting Grants. The Foundation prioritises Grant applications that support direct participation in sports, including funding for pooled resources like player equipment, uniforms, playing surfaces, equipment maintenance or repair, facility hire, and travel/accommodation for domestic tournaments.

This Grant will go a long way towards supplying Tennis Balls for our Community, Junior and Senior Tennis activities!

Cancellations
As we move from the sensational Summer towards the cooler and wetter climate, inevitably there will be some Court Booking and Event cancellations.
|
Please stay connected via our Social Media for any Event cancellations as we don't want to clutter your Email Inbox.

Please remember to cancel your Court bookings if it is raining and you don’t end up playing. The lights are linked to your bookings, so this will avoid any potential complaints from .

3. Recent Events
|
Junior Club Championships: Singles
|
🏆Junior Singles Club Championships🏆 have been held over Friday Nights during late February and March. There are just 2 matches still to play in the Boys B 14U for Third Place of the Main and Plate Draws.
|
Congratulations to all of our participants for battling it out every week and Congratulations to our Junior Champions, Runners Up, Plate Winners, Plater Runners, Third Placed and Consolation Winners.
The formal Prize-Giving will be on Friday 29th August after the AGM, however we will also have a presentation on Friday 4th April at 6pm.

Senior Club Championships: Singles
|
Thank you to all of our Members and Guests that participated and spectated our 🏆Senior Singles Club Championships 🏆on Sunday 23rd March across Men's A, Men's B, Women's A and Women's B Draw and Sunday 30th March for the Men's A Grade Final and Men's A Grade Plate Finals.
|
Thank you also to Shane Liu and Sumthin Dumplin for treating us to the sensational dumplings on the Main Day of Sunday 23rd March.
|
Both days packed in some awesome Tennis on some very hot Summer days and hotly contested matches in all Grades!
|
|
Congratulations to all of our participants who fought it out and special congratulations to our Champions and Runners Up.

St Patrick's Club Social Night
|
After a day of Irish weather on Wednesday 19th March, we rescheduled our Saint Patrick's Club Social Night to Wednesday 25th March.
|
The luck of the Irish was with us though and a fun night in Green and with Guinness was celebrated by all!
|
Special thanks to Paula Stubbing for also donating the Green V Cans, Socks and Colour Change Cups that were awarded to our 2 Irish participants and also 3 of our Best Dressed in Green:

4. Interclub
|
Winter Senior Interclub
|
Registrations for Outdoor Winter Interclub are now open, with MBTC Registrations closing on Sunday 4th May.
|
The competition will follow the same format as previous years, with 4 players per team, playing weekly on Sundays at 10am, starting Sunday 8th June. The grades, all without age restriction, are:
|
- Women's Singles,
- Women's Doubles,
- Men’s Singles,
- Men’s Doubles and
- Mixed Doubles (2 Men and 2 Women),
Please Register @ Winter Interclub 2025 if you are interested in playing and we will coordinate Teams thereafter.
|
Separately, there is also an Indoor Winter Competition held at TotalCoach Tennis Centre, 69 Merton Road, St Johns including the following grades::
|
- Ladies Indoor Doubles played Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday mornings/afternoons.
- Ladies Indoor Singles played Thursday mornings.
- Evening Indoor played Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights(please note limited spots available due to court availability – get in quickly!)

Summer Senior Interclub Results
|
There are still a few matches to be played and or recorded across some of our Senior Interclub Teams before the Season finishes on Saturday 12th April.
|
|
Congratulations to our Teams that have managed to secure a spot in the top of their Grade, and Congratulations to our Teams that have avoided Relegation! It's been another great season, and we're all looking forward to a competitive Winter and next Summer!

6. Reminders
Social Media Engagement and Reviews: Social Media and Reviews plays a significant part in the success of the Club so we encourage you to please help by adding a Google Review or Facebook Review and Reactions to our Socials Media posts please!
|
Court Usage: We encourage you to always please Book the Courts, Register and Collect Guests Fees, and Close the Gates after playing. Please also Cancel the Courts if you cannot make your Booking or Cancel the time if you are running late.
|
Super Soaker and Sand Drag Mat: Please use the Super Soaker and Sand Drag mat in the case of rain and sand build up.
|
Electrical Vehicle Charging: Chargers are for short “top-ups” only, not a replacement for primary home or work charging, with a time limit of 3 hours per week.
|
Dogs: Dogs are welcome on the upstairs deck, and we have dedicated water bowls for them, however please don't bring them inside the Club House.
|
|
Club Room Hire: Did you know our clubrooms are available to hire? If you are interested, please contact us to find for more info.
