Thank you Doug & Sandy Hayr
From humble beginnings at the very start when Doug and Sandy Hayr secured our first set of Community Play / Hot shot equipment, they have worked tirelessly over many years giving their time on countless Saturday mornings, with the help of volunteers, to steadily grow the numbers of our young participants.
|
The first week of Community Play this term we had 32 budding young tennis players on court for the first session of the season!!!
|
After many years of dedicated volunteerism to build the junior base, they have decided to hang up their Hot Shots rackets and hand over the mantle to the next bunch of volunteers to continue driving this junior initiative.
|
Whilst I am sure we will still see them at the courts on the odd Saturday MBTC would like to extend a huge thanks to Doug and Sandy for their immense contribution who have poured their hearts and souls into this programme.

|
We need two volunteers each week to keep this program running. If you would like to follow in their amazing footsteps and lend a hand with hotshots on the odd Saturday morning - even if its one Sat morning for an hour a term, please let us know! We encourage our Juniors to get involved.

Important Club Reminders
- Please help us to keep the clubhouse clean and tidy by doing your dishes at the end of the day.
- If you have access to the bar and regularly use it, you are more than welcome to top it up if you have a few moments.
- If you are playing with a guest, please make sure you include them in your club spark booking for $10/hr.
- A list of jobs that need doing around the clubhouse are posted on the noticeboard. We would welcome and encourage any help completing these.
- Please make sure if you cannot make your booking for any reason - including weather - you cancel your booking. We have Neighbours who message Jan and Vaughan any time the courts are empty, and the lights are left on. Please save them a grumpy evening text.
