Weekly Wrap Up

Please read below for some important news about Interclub, membership renewals, bar prices and changes to pin codes for court and changing room access.
Also dates for our next tournament Maize Munroe.

Senior Interclub

Interclub starts on either the 2nd or 9th September.

Your team captains have your details and will be contacting you soon (if they haven't already).

We are still waiting to hear which week each team will be starting and will let you know as soon as we receive this information from Auckland Tennis and appreciate your patience.

Change of code to enter courts and downstairs area.

On 1st September the code that we have had for years and years to gain access to the courts will be changing.

You will now have to use the BLACK keypad to gain access to the courts.
The silver keypad will no longer work.

There are two ways to gain access to the courts.
1) book a court and you will get your own unique access code
2) use our generic code that will be e-mailed out to all members a week prior and will work from 1 September.

Please note this code is only for members.

N.B. The pin number for access to the downstairs area will be the same as the code for court access.

Junior Interclub

We have just opened applications for Junior Interclub. An e-mail will be coming out this week with more details about Junior Interclub. Feel free to contact us at any stage if you are unsure about anything or have any questions.

Coach Jono is always happy to give advice if you are unsure if your son or daughter is ready for interclub.

Love Tennis

On Sunday, 10th September, we have our MBTC Love Tennis Open Day.

We need your help leading up to and on the day to make this community event a success.

Sign-up sheets are on the noticeboard's downstairs with all the jobs that need doing (i.e., delivering flyers in the neighbourhood and baking a cake for morning tea).

We would love to see you down at the club on the day to help showcase the club!

Be a Tidy Kiwi

Please clean up after yourself after using the kitchen. The dishwasher instructions are on the wall and a full cycle takes 3 minutes!

If you think you are the last people of the day/evening you will need to drain the dishwasher. Its super easy just follow the instruction.

Bar Prices

Due to increased pressure in rising costs across the board to run the club the committee has made the difficult decision to increase bar prices. The prices will be displayed in the bar and will take effect from 1st September 23.

Visitors/Guests

A reminder if you are playing with a guest, please add them to your booking. Its only $10 per hour.

If you are making the court booking it is your responsibility to ensure your guest is included and paid for in the booking. These guest fees help us keep our courts in top condition for the benefit of all members.

Maizie Munro Tournament

Mark Sunday the 10th in your diary for our next Social Tournament.
Sign up by 12:30pm for a start time of 1pm. All members are welcome of ALL abilities.

Because this tournament is run in conjunction with LOVE Tennis it is also open to members of the public, so bring your friends!

If you haven't played in a tournament before, come and give it a go. You will be playing doubles and you are always graded to have an opponent of similar ability. You also get the chance to team up with a range of players that you might not normally play with so it's a great way to meet different club members.

Membership Subs

The new Season starts 1st September. Please keep an eye out for an e-mail to renew your membership for the upcoming 2023/2024 season.
