Senior Summer Interclub
By now, you should have received an e-mail about Interclub. If you have missed it you can still enter by clicking below for the entry form.

If you have never played interclub before head down to the club night to chat with Jan or any of the committee!
|
We have social and competitive teams available. If you have friends you would like to make a team with let us know!
|
Interclub starts in September and ends in April and is played fortnightly with a break for the summer holidays.
|
We try to make a full team with reserves so if you can't commit to every week, don't let it put you off however, we do need a full team of regular players to enter.
|

We are looking for a parent or parents interested in growing our Junior membership base and helping with the Junior programs offered.
|
As a volunteer-based organization, our tennis club relies on individuals' enthusiasm and dedication to ensure the club's success.

Junior Girls Coaching & Interclub 11-12 years olds
We are looking for a group of girls around 11-12 years old who can have a short rally to join a coaching group and a summer interclub team.

Love Tennis & Maizie Munro Tournament
|
On Sunday, 10th September, we have our MBTC Love Tennis Open Day. We are in the early stages of planning the day and, in the upcoming weeks, will be putting up sign-up forms around the Club for people to help show how fabulous MBTC is to the community and potential new members. It's a fun morning with many activities, followed by our Maizie Munro Social Tournament.

Maintenance Matters!
Following a very successful Quiz Night fundraiser the committee have allocated some of the proceeds to install a PA and audio system to help improve our events and public bookings (meetings, birthdays, AGMs etc). Below is a brief guide to operate the audio system:
|
- Make sure you have the Sonos app installed
- Connect to the Mission Bay Tennis wifi (Wifi password: Tennis4Life )
- Link your streaming app to the Sonos app
- You should be set to go, you will be able to play music from within the Sonos app or from your own preferred app (Spotify etc)
Court Servicing

The courts recently had their bi-annual servicing which includes sweeping up the ball fluff, spreading the sand and spraying for moss and mould. The latter requires a good weather window therefore you may have noticed a few bookings in the system for court maintenance. Due to the fickle weather, the booking needed to be rescheduled on a couple of occasions. It’s now complete for another 6 months.

Volunteer Shout outs
|
The club operates mostly on the generous donation of time and effort by a small group of members forming the committee, mid week groups and a few other volunteers.
|
The club is always welcoming of an additional helping hand from non-committee members. If you have an hour free during the week or over the weekend and you would like to volunteer some time, please get in touch with Vaughan, there is always a range of jobs on the list (big and small).
|
|
Thanks to David & Maria for spraying and pulling out weeds recently around court 1 and Craig Mcfall for trimming some bushes and assisting with the new audio system.

Saturday Junior Coaching
We would like to welcome all the new Juniors to the club! It is great that you can now book courts and come down and practise your tennis!!
|
Over winter a group of enthusiastic young children have been getting some coaching with Coach Tyler on a Saturday morning.
|
This is an extension to the Saturday morning Community Play program and parents are encouraged to join in and have a hit with their kids.
|
|
These group lessons are a great pathway forward for our juniors to learn more about tennis, gain the skills to be able to play
|
|
|
matches to enable them to move on to playing junior interclub in the near future.
|

Court Lights
Please remember to cancel your bookings if you can't make it. If bookings are not cancelled lights remain on and we not only waste power but also receive complaints from neighbouring properties.
|
|
Light settings have been changed slightly and will now turn off at the end of your booking time as opposed to 5 mins after.
|
|
|
|
